Update regarding the PowerShell + DevOps Global Summit

Here’s the latest on the PowerShell Summit and our plans for the event. As of today, all events through March 31st have been cancelled by state government. However, they have not yet made a decision on April, which puts us in a very odd spot. Officially, we are allowed to host the event, but we believe it may not be in the public’s best interest to do so. We truly want to host the summit, but are also considering rescheduling the event because, like you, we all have concerns about attending an event in the Bellevue area during this time. We are working closely with our conference hotel and the Meydenbauer Center to identify an amicable solution that works best for all parties involved, as we have financial and contractual obligations to fulfill.

While we work though that process, we are considering alternative options for our event which include possible future dates and other locations. Nothing has been settled yet but we expect to have some answers to share with the community in the next 7 to 10 days. As more information is released, or we get more information about the gathering ban, we will providing updates as they become available.

Updated March 2, 2020

With the PowerShell + DevOps Global Summit still 7 weeks away, we want to ensure everyone that The DevOps Collective INC is continuously monitoring the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation here in the US and abroad. We are following all recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

ALL Upcoming events are still taking place as planned. We do realize that this is a situation very much in the headlines. Until and unless there?s a government restriction on running our events, we cannot simply back out of our contracts. We recognize that some people may feel uncomfortable traveling. We will do our best to facilitate ticket transfers if requested, however we cannot offer refunds on registrations. We will work with our venues to ensure proper stocking of hand-washing supplies and other sanitation measures, as we always do, and we encourage attendees to review appropriate guidelines on basic personal safety when in any public space.
